Chor Bazaar is one of the largest flea markets in India, located near Bhendi Bazaar in Grant Road, South Mumbai. It is one of the oldest markets of second-hand goods in India since the British rule in India. Time of Visit Chor Bazaar is 11:00 AM until 7:30 pm and Friday – closed. Chor Bazaar, literally translated as Thieves Market, was initially called “Shor Bazaar” or a “noisy market”. The market got called Chor Bazaar by the British who could not pronounce the word correctly. Eventually, stolen goods and vintage items made their way into the market and the name stayed. Originally named after Arthur Crawford, the first Municipal Commissioner of the city, the market was later renamed to honour Indian social reformer Mahatma Jotirao Phule. The market houses numerous items, from wholesale fruits, vegetables and poultry to clothes, dress materials, toys, jewelry, and even a pet store.


4. Zaveri Bazaar

Zaveri Bazaar is a jewellery market and a major hub for B2B and B2C jewellery industry in Mumbai, India. Located at Bhuleshwar in South Mumbai, just north of Crawford Market, Zaveri Bazaar is a muddle of narrow lanes, dotted with hundreds of jewellery shops that sell gems and Jewels. 


5. Sassoon Docks Fish Market 

Sassoon Dock, is the largest wholesale fish market. It was Built in 1875, Sassoon Dock was the first commercial wet dock in Western India.
